Alexis Sommers is the Director of Enrollment Management and Institutional Strategy at Newark Academy. In this role she oversees the day-to-day operations of Admission and Financial Aid and leads several key strategic priorities for the school, including school-wide marketing and other change management projects. Alexis also serves as a liaison to the Board of Trustees and assists in the execution of the strategic plan. During her time at NA, she has served in a number of roles within the Office of Admission, using strategic thinking and data-driven analysis to transform and modernize the department’s Admission and Financial Aid processes. Prior to joining NA, Alexis worked as the Associate Director of Admission at Léman Manhattan, taught elementary school within the New York City Public School System and worked at a number of New York-based advertising and marketing agencies. Alexis earned her bachelor’s from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and her master’s degree in education from New York University.
